Your choice of Bulky Weight Yarn (#5 or 7-9wpi) I like Premier Serenity Yarn, Big Twist Chunky, and Bernat Home Dec
Hook Size: K/6.50mm
DEFINITIONS:
MR = Magic Ring
HDC = Half Double Crochet
CH = Chain
INC = Increase
BLO - Back Loops Only
BnS = Bean Stitch insert hook into st and pull up a loop, yarn over and insert hook into same st and pull up another loop, yarn over and pull through all four loops on the hook

NOTES:
Rounds 1-3 make up the bottom of your plant cozy. When you are finished with round 3 you can set the bottom of your pot on your work to make sure your sizing is matching up. Keep in mind, most yarn has some stretch to it. If sizing is not matching up, you can increase or decrease your hook size as needed. If you are making a 2" pot or smaller you may need to decrease the number of HDC's in your starting magic ring and adjust row counts to match.
There are two options to finish off your Green Girl Plant Cozy. The first looks like this when finished. It creates a beautiful, thick top that falls just below the top of the pot. This is wonderful when you have pots that have a pop of color on them and you choose yarn to accent that. It also doesn't utilize the crab stitch which I realize some people avoid.
The second finishing option is made with an extra row of round 5 and a beautifully scalloped crab stitch around the top.
